Budget cuts trap family in town–Towcester

 

A WOMEN who is a full time carer for three family members is being trapped in Towcester thanks to council budget cuts.

Mary Reed of Bickerstaffe Road looks after her husband and two sons who all have Huntingdon’s disease. Her husband is in a wheel chair full time and Mrs Reed recently lost her only form of transport when concessionary bus passes for carers were scrapped.

The 54-year-old, is up at 5.30am everyday to start caring for her family helping them to dress, feed themselves and keeping them clean.
