Carers tell PM “It’s time to support us” – Carers UK

A delegation of carers has delivered a strong message to the new Prime Minister to coincide with Carers Week.

Today a delegation of people who care, unpaid, for their disabled, chronically ill and elderly relatives, delivered a letter to the new Prime Minister, signed by over 3,500 carers, asking him to ensure that they are better supported.

Don Brereton, Chair of Carers UK was joined by Sue Cuomo, who cares for her mother who has Alzheimer’s Disease; Rose Fernandes who cares for her daughter who has autism and her elderly mother; and Stephen Driver, who cares for his daughter who has neuromuscular and respiratory conditions.
